Hi folks,
An exciting update on my exploration of the St. Anne's Park, Guinness Mansion.
Thanks to drawings shared by Leo Devitt I originally had created the model of the mansion. A good friend from Ulster University, Michael Callaghan saw the model one day and said, how about building a mansion using 3D Modelling and walking around it yourself. So the project began.
Two students, Suzanne Robert and Mamady Baradji worked on a college project over the summer to do just that. Their work is brilliant and remarkable given the timeframe etc.
I can walk around the 4 floors of the mansion and through literally hundreds of rooms now. Using a meta headset I walked around the first rooms that are the most finished. The main hall, palm garden and staircase give you a real sense of place and size.
Yet again the dig is on in the park with St Anne's Park Archaeology, so started outside the newly uncovered front entrance.
I hope you enjoy and as I build out I will share more.
Be the first in a generation to walk around the mansion.

I remember as a kid going up those stairs but they were strewn with rubble. An absolute waste of a beautiful house that could easily have been restored.
Fantastic. Keep going. Remember it when I was a kid c70 years ago
