Sustainability

We are dedicated to embedding sustainability into every aspect of our art and business practices.

Our Artwork

All of our original artwork and limited edition prints are created locally in our Dublin studio, designed to last using high-quality, durable materials. We prioritize Irish suppliers whenever possible, such as sourcing our wooden frames and mounts made to order in Ireland. We print our artwork in small batches, ensuring we only create what is needed. This approach minimizes waste and reduces the risk of overproduction, helping us stay environmentally conscious while maintaining the quality and availability of our pieces

Additionally, we are committed to exploring innovative, sustainable art-making techniques. A great example of this is Sinéad’s work with recycled Tetra pak cartons, which she transforms into hand-printed artworks. You can see more about this process here.
We also make every effort to reduce waste during our printing and framing processes. Any paper offcuts or damaged mounts are kept and repurposed for other uses, such as testing prints, packaging, or smaller creative projects.

Our Greeting Cards

Our cards are printed on 350gsm Recycled Silk paper and come with white envelopes. For online orders, we aim to minimize waste by sending the cards only, without any additional packaging. At markets, we use PLA bags made from corn starch, which are certified compostable and suitable for brown bin disposal. If you prefer your online order to be packaged in compostable cellophane, simply let us know at checkout.

Our Packaging

We package online orders of framed artwork using pre used cardboard and bubble wrap, so the outer appearance may be a bit rugged, but rest assured, your art will be well-protected during transit. If you’re local, we encourage opting for local delivery or pickup, and we’ll check with you to see if any additional wrapping is needed.
For larger prints (A3 and up), we ship them in sturdy cardboard tubes with plastic end caps. These tubes are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to safeguard the artwork. The plastic caps and cardboard tube can be recycled separately, but we encourage reusing the tube for storing other prints or posters.
Smaller prints (A4 and below) are packaged in compostable PLA bags made from corn starch.

Markets

At outdoor markets, while we do use plastic to protect our artwork, we make an effort to minimize and reuse it wherever possible. We recycle our display materials and offer reusable clear plastic bags as they are currently the most effective way to protect artwork in these settings.
