Poolbeg Chimneys Dublin - Barry McAdam
“I have wanted to do this piece for a long time, but couldn't decide on the composition. Then one day I realised that the ladders and platforms on the stacks are fascinating and I visualised what it would be like to be up standing there.
I then wanted to draw the Dublin skyline and Dublin Port into the scene at sunset and it all came together. The cranes just gave a clear interest to the mid distance and it all came together. Did you ever know that they are colour coded depending on where they are located?”
