O'Connell Bridge Dublin - Barry McAdam
In this piece Barry captures the sights and shapes around O'Connell Bridge. He saw hundreds of sunsets along these quays as it used to be on his cycle home and there is a wonderful light source in this piece that captures these sunsets for him. Drawing in key buildings from both sides of the Liffey give the view a unique perspective, from the La Fayette building on the left through the elegant lamp stands on the bride to O’Connell and the distant towering Spire on the right. The vibrant yellows and orange offset by the green and dark colours in the Liffey bring the sunset from the heights of the sky to the reflections in the water below.
