Forthill Bandstand and Enniskillen, Fermanagh - Barry McAdam
“Forthill Park is one of my favourite places. It was only when I was up in the park earlier in the year that I sat and really wondered at the bandstand. It really is a remarkable piece of engineering with Victorian exuberance brought to life through skilled ironwork. I headed back to the house with an excitement that I could combine my original Happy Prince piece with my signature style where linework and watercolours. I couldn't resist including a swallow in a recognition of the original piece.
I feel this is one of my strongest works and the soft colours really paint a tapestry that brings the island to life."
