"It was tricky moving from townscapes to a piece with one feature building. I had to get the castle to work really well or the rest wouldn't make sense.
Unlike the other watercolour pieces I normally do, the castle started with the building, then the sky and then the water. I like the airy feel to the piece and the way the water flows off the page."
