Dún Laoghaire Harbour - Barry McAdam
“After a long walk along the harbour wall it is really enjoyable to take in the Dún Laoghaire lighthouses. I really like that time at around twilight when the red and green lights come from the lighthouse of the same colour. As the waves crash on the outside the harbour waters are still and mirror the wonderous colours of the sunlight.
The composition of this was really interesting as it was in effect two paintings with something in between. This is where I enjoyed placing the boats so that the composition worked and the red and green colours are drawn across the piece creating a harmony that seemed to really work.”
